His journey into CrossFit began as an extension of his broader fitness pursuits and has evolved into a passionate career focused on helping others achieve their fitness goals. Known for his motivational coaching style and innovative programming, Chris aims to elevate CrossFit Scunthorpe to new heights, emphasizing community, resilience, and continuous improvement. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, Chris is committed to guiding you every step of the way.

Sophie Shipperbottom

  • Sophie is one of the driving forces behind CrossFit Scunthorpe’s ladies’ classes — bringing a mix of experience, energy, and passion to every session. A true CrossFit enthusiast, she’s competed up and down the country and even taken her fitness abroad, testing herself against some of the best.

    Sophie knows what it takes to train hard, stay consistent, and balance performance with enjoyment. Her coaching style blends encouragement with challenge — helping every member feel confident, capable, and part of the team.

    Whether you’re stepping into your first class or chasing your next PB, Sophie’s experience and enthusiasm will make sure you leave every session feeling stronger, fitter, and proud of what you’ve achieved.

Jordan Arrand

  • Jordy is the engine behind CrossFit Scunthorpe’s Hybrid class — a session built to test your grit, lungs, and mental toughness. Known across the gym for his love of burpees and running (yes, he actually enjoys them), Jordy brings relentless energy and a no-nonsense attitude to every workout.

    What most people don’t know is that he’s quietly tackled marathons — but you’ll never hear him brag about it. Instead, he lets his work ethic do the talking, leading by example and pushing everyone around him to dig deeper.

    His Hybrid sessions are designed to challenge your endurance, build your engine, and leave you walking out stronger than you walked in. If you’re ready to get uncomfortable and see what you’re capable of — Jordy’s your guy.

Danny Watts

  • Coach & Sneaker Aficionado, CrossFit Scunthorpe

    Meet Coach Danny Watts – CrossFit Scunthorpe’s new dad, sneaker geek, resident CrossFit Gazelle, and die-hard Chelsea FC fan and ardent season ticket holder at Scunthorpe Utd. Danny’s days are a whirlwind of dad duty, deadlifts, and the latest Metcons. His sneaker collection? Impressive enough to fill its own CrossFit box!

    Balancing his roles as a dad and a coach, Danny brings energy and humour to every workout. With a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification, he ensures members get top-notch guidance while having a blast. His passion for running has earned him the nickname "CrossFit Gazelle," and he's always ready to help you improve your stride.

    Outside the gym, Danny’s love for football is matched only by his dedication to his family. Expect a bit of footie talk and a lot of laughs in his sessions.
